The Huk half is a solid bike pad for the back of your truck. It's gonna fall into the more premium category for it. In general, the reason you would select the half is if you just have one or two bikes that you're transporting. Also, if you're wanting to still keep half of the truck bed open for whatever else you may be taking out along with you. The material that it's made out of is TPU, and essentially what that is is a weather resistant, abrasion resistant material that's super soft to the touch that's gonna help keep the bike, you know, keep any damage from your bicycle, as far as scratching. more

This is gonna be a great middle of the road tailgate pad where it allows you to carry around a lot of bikes without taking up a lot of space or spending a lot either. Now this is still gonna be technically an entry level tailgate pad at its price point, but it does have some extra features to it that are worth taking a look at. And we're gonna focus though on our F-150 here. The main thing here is that with this being a full-sized tailgate pad, it does fit very well on the F-150 with how much it covers. more

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima Gatekeeper, on the back of a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado. Let's check it out. So the Gatekeeper is gonna be a five bike carrier, having the five cradles that you're gonna strap your bike down to, to keep it in position. So, officially, what you're gonna do, to attach your bike, you're gonna hook that one end of your cradle to the other, and this is all padded, and then you'll be able to make your adjustment, as far as how tight you would like it to stabilize your bike, using your strap. If you have a bike that you wouldn't wanna make contact with your frame, it definitely wouldn't be the best option. However, it's a really good option, as far as moving multiple bikes, using your pickup without a hitch carrier. more

We're gonna take a look at some of its features, but focus on how this fits our 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Now this can carry up to seven bikes on your tailgate. So, if you want a better solution compared to throwing them all in the truck bed and hoping for the best, or trying to get a hitch bike rack that can carry multiple bikes, this is gonna be a great solution for you. Hi Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Kuat Huk Mid-Size Tailgate Pad on the 2020 Toyota Tacoma. Now this is gonna be a great option for trucks since it sits on your tailgate pad and it's very easy to use but since it just sits on your tailgate pad, it doesn't have a weight capacity. But keep in mind, if you want to put any heavier bikes up here like your e-bikes, it might be kind of hard to lift it up that high. Another thing to note, we're gonna have one strap down point just right on the frame. So we don't recommend using any carbon frame bikes. Something I do like about this pad is that it has these adjustable straps, if needed, you can actually take these straps out completely and move it over to another location. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be talking about the Yakima gatekeeper tailgate pad on the 2020 Toyota Tacoma. The gatekeeper's gonna be an excellent choice for the Tacoma because it's gonna be able to hold up to five bikes at once, which is a lot of bikes, especially compared to a lot of bike racks that are mounted on your hitch. 'Cause a lot of times they can usually only accommodate up to four bikes, and if they can hold a lot of bikes they're gonna stick out by a ton. Now, something else I do like is the way it holds your bikes up in an organized way, rather than, if you kind of just threw your bikes in the bed they'd be kind of bumping each other, and scratching one another up. So those are definitely great features about this pad. more

Somethin' to note, it's gonna have the ability to hold up the two bikes and it doesn't have a weight capacity, so you can even accommodate your heavy e-bikes. Now, keep in mind, lifting up those heavy E-bikes will be kind of a struggle. It's gonna have one point of contact on your frame and that's gonna be tied down with that strap there. So, we don't recommend using any carbon framed bikes on here just in case it damages your frame. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer and today we'll be talking about the Yakima GateKeeper tailgate pad for mid-size and compact vehicles on the 2023 Jeep Gladiator. What I like about this carrier is it's unique to trucks. Since it hooks on your tailgate, that's gonna be nice if you're already utilizing your hitch or you don't want to and you don't wanna deal with the extra length that a hitch bike rack gives to your vehicle. What's nice is that it utilizes the space in your bed so you can hold up to five bikes at a time with no weight limit. That's gonna be nice to accommodate those heavy e-bikes too. As for how it's going to secure to your pad we're just gonna have this strap here with this hook here and that's gonna secure your bike to your pad. more

Now, this version of the Huk is going to be considered the mid-size one, but it is going to cover the full length of our tailgate here on our Ranger. Now, the Kuat Huk is going to be a tailgate pad that can accommodate up to five bikes. If you're looking for something to carry around maybe not as many bikes, there is the half pad version, which only covers up maybe about 1/3 of your tailgate, but it can only accommodate up to two bikes. But this version able to accommodate up to five bikes is a really nice thing, especially when you compare it to some of our hitch-mounted bike racks. more

First, we're gonna take this strap and the clip and just pull up on the clip and pull the strap through. Now all I have to do is lift up on my bike, take it out. The bike is being held by the frame on these hook and loop straps in the back. You can slide them up and down a little bit to adjust. If you do have a carbon frame bike, we recommend not using a tailgate pad or anything that holds onto it by the frame, 'cause it could potentially be damaged while it's driving. more

If you have a multitude of bikes and you're looking to transport them to a location but you don't wanna keep them in the bed where they'll roll around, scratch themselves in the bed and you maybe are already towing something or you just don't feel like the added length of a bike rack that can support that many bikes, a pad like this might be a good option for you. This Swagman Paramount Pad is actually capable of supporting up to seven bikes along the way, held in place by these hook and loop straps. To get our bike loaded up, first thing we need to do is open one of these straps up and have it ready. I will say for the Ram 2500, it is definitely a taller vehicle, so getting the bike on and off might be a challenge for you. more

Hi there everyone, John here, and today we are taking a look at the Yakima Gatekeeper Tailgate Pad for five bikes here on our 2021 Jeep Gladiator. This is gonna be a great way to get five bikes to and from the trail without having to worry about them getting damaged or the inside of your bed getting damaged either. Now something that you may wanna know is why wouldn't I just use my hitch There's a lot of reasons that you may not wanna use your hitch on your Gladiator. Maybe you just wanna be able to use it for other things, cargo carrier, and you wanna use the available space in the back of your truck bed. Not only that, but this isn't gonna have a weight capacity like you would have for your hitch. As long as they fit and they fit comfortably, you'll be able to fit five bikes of any size in here, though, I do recommend to play around, figure out what the best setup for your bikes are to make sure that they aren't moving against each other. more

Tailgate bed's a good option, especially if you don't wanna mess with putting anything in your hitch. You don't need any tools to install this. This also stores easier than your bike racks that go and hitch. If you we're to get one that wanted to carry four bikes, that gets pretty big, and then you have to find somewhere to put that, this is gonna be easy to store when you're done with it. more

Inno Velo Gripper Truck Bed Bike Rack Review - 2022 Toyota Tundra- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we'll be taking a look at our Inno Velo Gripper C-channel Mounted Bike Rack right here at etrailer on our 2022 Toyota Tundra. So this is gonna be a truck bed mounted bike rack, so a little different from your hitch mounted bike racks, your tailgate mats, this is gonna mount to the rails of your Toyota Tundra. So in this video, we'll talk about where does it mount, how does it mount, what can it carry, and how having a short bed on a Toyota Tundra changes some things when it comes to carrying your bikes. So the Tundra we have here today is a 5 1/2 foot bed with the utility rails on the side, and as you can see here, I don't even have that long of a wheel base on my bike and I'd still have to drive around with my tailgate down, so that's something definitely worth considering with this type of a bike rack. The pros are you are able to secure your bike by its frame, you don't need to take off the wheels, the downside is because you're not taking off the wheels, you have all that space you need to account for, so tailgate's down as you drive around. So where this style of a bike rack, where it shines over other types of racks is gonna be the stability. more

RockyMounts LoBall Truck Bed Bike Rack Review - 2022 Toyota Tundra- Video
We're gonna be utilizing the track system on the inside of our bed on our 2022 Toyota Tundra. And we're using the RockyMounts Fork Mounted Bike Rack. All I have to do is take the wheel off, install the RockyMounts Fork Mounted rack to the rails, lock it into place and get to the trails. Not all trucks come with rails on the inside of the bed, but if you have rails on the inside of your bed, it opens up the world of possibilities. Right here is the RockyMounts LoBall. And it's gonna get my bike wherever I wanna go. more

Howdy everyone, John here and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman Paramount on our 2016 Ford F350 Super Duty. Now this is gonna be a great choice if you wanna get your bikes and maybe some friends bikes out to the trail, without having to worry about them jumping around and being damaged in the back of your tailgate. Now this is going to be for a full size truck. So this is gonna be 61 inches from both sides and it holds seven bikes. Now that's a lot of bikes and you're probably asking yourself how is it able to hold that and keep them from damaging both themselves and the bed of your truck Well, as you can see, it's made out of foam. It's made out of a really nice material and underneath we've got this nice plush padding that's going to protect your tailgate. more

Inno Velo Gripper Truck Bed Bike Rack Review - 2022 Toyota Tacoma- Video
What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out the Inno Velo Gripper. This is gonna be a truck bed holding bike rack. So it goes in the C channels of your Tacoma and it's gonna be installed on our 2022 Toyota Tacoma today. Inno grip is gonna slide along the channel here and attaches in there, using this hand knob is what tightens it down or loosens it so you can move it back and forth, it slides at the end of the track. And so what you do is you line this up with your bike. more

So, this can be a very nice way of getting a lot of bikes here in the bed of our Gladiator, making it a lot easier to get a lot of people to that destination with our bikes. Now, predominantly, what are these guys are utilized for is mountain bikers, loading up at the bottom of hill, dragging all their bikes all the way at the top and running back down again. And what's really nice about this guy, we are gonna have four little sets of straps to go ahead and have four bikes here on our mid-size track. more
